La Masia

I was shocked by the reception at La Masia: upon arrival I handed our IDs to check in, the front‑desk clerk suddenly started shouting, made racist insults toward Moroccans, and demanded we leave. My husband called the police, who told us to request the official complaint form and warned that they would come if we refused. After that, the clerk quieted down, signed us in, and showed us the payment terminal. Such conduct has no place in a public‑facing establishment; I do not recommend this hotel and hope management takes action to prevent future discrimination.

We felt very comfortable at the hotel, which is conveniently located for exploring the Costa Brava, and the service was excellent. A small air‑conditioning issue arose, but the owner fixed it immediately and with great courtesy. It’s rare to find someone so attentive and helpful; definitely a very positive experience and a place we’d return to.

“Angenehmes Hotel, perfekt für Selbstversorger”

There is a large, secure parking lot, everything is clean, and a small garden with tables for eating. The communal kitchen is well equipped, each guest gets a lockable locker with a small fridge and space for groceries—great. A small bar and a pool table are also available. The value for money is excellent and the staff are friendly. The room itself was quite small and a bit dated, though clean, and for the price it was acceptable.

The place has everything a traveler could ask for, and the owner is incredibly friendly. It might need a touch of refurbishment, but for the price it offers, it’s absolutely great.
