“I will always choose to come here every time I am in Kaohsiung.”

I’ve been to Ahiruyah three times now, and each visit confirms they really try to meet requests before you check in. I usually stay in bunk‑bed rooms, but this time I opted for a solo room and wasn’t let down; I got a corner spot that lets me see the dimsum and fruit‑juice shops across the street. The space is generous, with three single beds and plenty of natural light, so I could soak up the Kaohsiung sun every morning. The front desk staff are consistently friendly—I ran into Anne again, and Ella was also very helpful. Even though English isn’t their first language, they always do their best to guide me around the city and recommend the best transport options for the day. I booked the solo room for two nights and wanted to stay longer, but the rooms were already taken, so I had to move into a female bunk‑bed room for the rest of my stay. One downside is that Ahiruyah doesn’t provide breakfast, though they do offer free coffee, tea, and occasional snacks.

“性價比高，物超所值”

The reception was friendly, the dormitory was tidy, and the girls’ bathroom required a password, which felt reassuring; the bathroom itself was clean. There’s a 7‑11 downstairs, and the place is close to the Miao‑Li station and Liuhe Night Market, making transport easy. Only one power outlet was available in the plug area, which felt a bit limited.
