We thought the pool was heated, but it wasn’t; aside from that, we had a great stay.

The property sits just on the edge of town, and a pleasant walk along the water leads to the centre. The room is spacious and clean, and the outdoor area is beautiful if kids want to hang around. However, a strong cleaning scent greeted us upon entry—similar to what one might find in an Australian nursing home. Both kids mentioned it smelled like a nursing home when we walked in, but it faded quickly or filtered out. A small campervan doesn’t fit outside the room, yet there’s plenty of nearby parking.

Very comfortable, very clean, great dining room and fantastic gardens. Friendly and professional staff. The online booking system was problematic: we tried to extend one night but it showed as full, and after booking elsewhere the reception told us there were multiple vacancies. Parking is tight for larger cars.
