The stay was cheap, comfortable, and close to the airport. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working during my stay.

“Disappointing”

The location was fine. The air conditioner was not working during my stay (which was not communicated up‑front). The room doors let in light and sound, and the apartment doors were tricky to lock or unlock. I received a different room than the photos showed. Neighbors played loud music in the middle of the night. I had to communicate with the owner remotely through the phone to get to the room (which was not communicated up‑front). I was asked to pay an additional 2 € fee outside of the Booking website (which was not communicated up‑front).

“​À éviter absolument : aucun respect de la réservation et sécurité quasi inexistante”

Walking 25 minutes from the airport, public transport nearby, a supermarket close by, the Wi‑Fi worked and the room was clean. Yet our stay in Bergamo turned out to be very disappointing: the room assigned to us did not match our reservation – we were given three single beds instead of a double bed plus one single. A major security flaw existed: every key opened every door; the key to our room (and even the shared bathroom key) could open all other rooms. When we left a witness on the door during a day trip, we discovered upon return that someone had entered our room in our absence. Personal belongings are not safe here. If you need a minimally secure place that matches your booking, look elsewhere. Clearly, if the key issue hadn’t happened, I might have been more forgiving.

I managed to snag a room from them, but I had to spend my night outside the accommodation with another couple who had been left out. I had checked in at 02–03 am because of our flight and they told me in one message that they would look into it since they usually lock the place for the night. The day before the flight I asked them to confirm our overnight arrival because I might still book another place if it wasn’t possible. I got no reply before the flight, and during the flight they asked me for the arrival time even though they already knew it from days ago. We arrived at the place after the flight, I tried calling the number many times while the door was closed and no one answered. Outside there was another couple who had booked a room but couldn’t get in. The place took money from us and didn’t respond to a refund request. It seems like a sham accommodation that didn’t follow the booking terms and left me unanswered. This is terrible behaviour; I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

The price, cleanliness, and order were good. The distance from Bergamo was fine during the day, but if you need to go early or late you have to walk 45 minutes.
