“בשמחה הייתי חוזר לראנקה ולמלון אולי גם לומד סקי ובא בחורף.”
Ranaka is a great spot to finish the Transalpina route; I’d recommend anyone who can stay there for two days and spend a bit more time exploring the area in summer (we didn’t have time and it was a shame). The hotel’s location is very convenient in the town center, with private parking both in front and at the back—there was no shortage of space. We had dinner on the outdoor terrace and enjoyed it a lot; Adrian, who was both the waiter and the host and handled everything alone, was very friendly and efficient—he’ll probably need a bit of help in winter when the place is full, bravo Adrian. The hotel also has an indoor restaurant with heavy wooden furnishings that creates a warm atmosphere; a short walk away is a small kiosk where you can buy snacks, coffee, and anything else you want. We especially loved the room’s terrace overlooking the beautiful forest and mountains. In the morning the place is quiet, with the sounds of birds chirping and the rustle of trees from the forest. The room is comfortable, though a bit small. We stayed only one night. The room was missing a full‑length mirror, there was no trash bin (only in the bathroom), the bathroom window was small and lacked a curtain, which could compromise privacy. There were many steep stairs. If you have small children, be aware that the balcony railing isn’t very secure and could be a risk.
