The owners and the receptionist were kind. The place was clean and not noisy. We could call them anytime if we needed anything. The rooms were nice, friendly, and had air conditioning. Everything was fine!

A cool, clean location with welcoming staff. Meals could be taken nearby, with cafés across the street. Everything was pleasant, and we’ll come back. Everything was pleasant.

The spot was close to the city center and a few restaurants were within walking distance, which was handy. However, my partner and I were shocked to see the city tax charged per day instead of per night, even though the listing said otherwise. The hotel only offers room cleaning and towel replacement when asked, which is odd for a hotel, so our room stayed dirty and the towels stayed unused. It smelled bad and was dimly lit when we got there. I called reception at 8:00 AM the next morning to ask for fresh towels, but they said no one would be there until 10:00 AM. When I said we couldn’t wait that long, the receptionist got argumentative and told me we’d have to request it a day ahead because “they do everything online.” The real issue was his attitude afterward: instead of fixing the problem, he got irritated when I pointed out that basic services shouldn’t need a request. He threatened that we’d never be allowed to stay again and even claimed he could have us “blocked” from other Bucharest hotels through personal contacts, mentioning authorities too. After I reported the incident to customer service, the same receptionist called back, accused us of lying, and asked us to withdraw the complaint. When I brought up the wrong city tax charge and cited the listing, he immediately softened his tone and started making excuses, saying the towel problem could have been solved without us arguing. In short, this was one of the most unprofessional hotel experiences I’ve had regarding customer service and communication.
