Good breakfast. Very family‑like atmosphere. Small town with a unique vibe. The Bonbon Factory is worth seeing. Very little (actually none!) of the local options for dinner.

The lodging sits in a tiny riverside village with beautiful views, and the breakfast is homemade, complete and plentiful; however, the village has almost no services and the restaurant was closed (we weren’t told), so we had to go elsewhere for dinner. Getting to the upper‑floor rooms is awkward due to narrow stairs and low ceilings.

The location in the charming village of the film Chocolat and the Flavigny anise balls was excellent, and the breakfast was very tidy; the host kindly offered restaurant tips because some local spots were closed during the holiday months. I won’t say the following was a disappointment, but I didn’t realize the host and her dog lived in the same house, which was a bit startling in terms of privacy, though it ultimately didn’t disturb me.
