There’s a free laundry room on the 5th floor where you can watch the progress on your TV, and McDonald’s is just across the road; the reception staff were very helpful. After breakfast you’re on your own, and there’s no bar in the evenings.

“VERY GOOD STAY”

The reception team were friendly and helpful, the hotel felt modern and clean, and a robot delivers any evening takeaway deliveries—though there are no evening meals available at the hotel. A free laundry room sits on the 5th floor. The only downside is the lack of a bar.

“В Санью через Шанхай с остановкой в отеле Меркурий”

We were on vacation to Sanya via Shanghai and decided to stay in Shanghai for two days because the hotel is near Hunchao Airport, just one metro stop away. We arrived at Pudong Airport, took the green Line 2, and without transfers reached Songhong Road station, exit 5. We crossed the street, walked two minutes, and were at the hotel. The reception speaks English, though Google Translate works fine. Check‑in was quick. Breakfasts were great, everything tasty; we even ate watermelon for breakfast in April! The room had all the basics: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, slippers, and even lotion. Nearby there are many eateries, or you can go to the Livat mall with IKEA (across the street) or the other shopping center across the intersection, which has a grocery store that’s not immediately obvious. The area lacks regular grocery shops. If we travel to Sanya via Shanghai again, we’ll definitely stay at Mercury.

“Location was convenient, breakfast was good, front reception staff were friendly and helpful”

Our stay at the hotel was largely enjoyable, thanks to the attentive staff who efficiently provided excellent service. However, a minor inconvenience with the bathroom sink marred an otherwise pleasant experience. Overall, the hotel showed promise, but some areas for improvement remain.
