The Lodge sits close to the road, but triple glazing kept traffic noise out; the location was perfect for our out‑of‑town needs. The scenery and green views were beautiful. Breakfast in the nice room was excellent, staff were pleasant and helpful, my dietary needs were met, and menu choices were great. Parking was convenient, not far from the rooms. The room itself was very clean with comfy beds, and I look forward to staying again. The person with me isn’t great with stairs but managed; it’s on a lower level, so I should have checked before booking. It looked beautiful and truly made the short break special. I had trouble finding the key‑presses in the dark even after reading instructions, but a friendly staff member helped; an illuminated check‑in sign might help. No major dislikes.
