The place was spotless and everything was in order, but if you’re not fluent in Mandarin the staff can be a bit dismissive. We ran into a dryer issue and the front desk just shrugged it off. Had to get help from other guests.

I felt at ease staying with other women, the toiletries were plenty and the slippers system kept the rooms tidy. But heads up for Westerners: only squat toilets, and the checkout is a bit early, so you might miss out on exploring the city that day.

I liked the location—just 10 minutes to the metro—and the pillow and bed were comfy. But the rooms are tiny, you can’t bring a backpack in, so you have to stash it in lockers and wait for others to move out. The common area is a mess, everyone’s eating or watching movies, not quiet or tidy. The bathroom and laundry are cluttered with wet clothes from other guests, and the hallway is full of stuff. I only stayed one night because I wasn’t comfortable at all.
