The place is in a great spot, the staff were super friendly, and the private entrance was handy; the hot shower worked well, and I appreciated the nail polish remover, hairdryer, cotton swabs, shampoo, and the decent coffee and tea, plus the bathrobes. I did wish there were better towel hooks and a stool to lower the curtain.

The location is fantastic, though the room felt a bit stuffy at first; opening the windows cleared it up nicely.

The Cosy Canal Studio is within a short walk of the main attractions, with plenty of restaurants and a supermarket nearby; we stayed on a Saturday when the weekly artisan market was open in the square around the corner, offering fresh produce. The bed was comfy and the shower was nice. Babette was a wonderful host—helpful and communicative. However, the studio sits in the basement below street level, and the steep steps to get down are a hassle; the entrance goes through a laundry/storeroom that feels uninviting. Footsteps from upstairs and occasional voices can be heard, and during our stay the weather was scorching, so only one window could be opened.

The location is excellent and the room is comfortable; they were kind enough to let us store our luggage, which I loved.
