I wasn’t bothered by the morning light, everything else was perfect.

The spot was fine, but the self‑check‑in caused a mess: our room pin didn’t work, the power on the floor and in the room was dead, and a fellow guest had been dealing with the same issue all week and suggested fiddling with the breaker. I sent several messages to the host and got nothing back. I couldn’t make international calls with my plan and had no way to reach the host on WhatsApp, so I walked to the hospital across the street to borrow a phone and spoke to the receptionist. She said she’d flag it to the owner but gave no timeline. I asked for better communication and more responsiveness because I wasn’t using my own phone, but the contact stayed thin. Eventually we got a new room code, yet the power problem and parking questions remained unanswered. I had to borrow another phone to keep trying to reach them, and only after an electrician arrived were the issues fixed. Even with self‑check‑in, the host should stay responsive, monitor the booking platform chats, or at least supply a WhatsApp number.

The location was fantastic—just 5 minutes from downtown, a quiet spot with super easy parking, and the price was unbeatable. The fridge in the room was a huge plus for budget travelers.

They dropped breakfast in a basket in the mini‑fridge the night before, offering plenty of tasty, healthy options, fresh fruit, and delicious bread. The intercom system needs fixing to connect to the central office.
