“Majdnem gyöngyszem.”
Great location. A quiet little house at the edge of the world, perfect for a peaceful retreat. We met a kind, helpful lady owner. There was a fire pit (unfortunately uncovered), skewers, a pot, and a small covered terrace – a good base for hiking. The most disturbing thing was the stove. We asked the owner upon arrival, and she said that because of the heat, some smoke had returned. Perhaps the stove or chimney was leaky, and the smoke drifted throughout our stay. All our clothes, bags, and gear took on a smoky smell, so we had to wash everything. Cleanliness was only adequate; there were dust, small dirt, and spider webs here and there. The parquet floor was worn in places. The kitchen was simple and a bit outdated. The owner warned us about a bug infestation when we arrived, and it was real. Probably seasonal, but beetles, moths, and fleas took over the house. Weather can’t be blamed for the experience, and we spent a rainy weekend here, which made us feel the shortcomings even more. With a little effort, it could become a real gem (as the photos and price suggest). It’s not tragic, but if you accept the above, go ahead and stay.
