The Swiss-Belhotel Borneo left us very disappointed. From the start, communication with the hotel was laborious and unprofessional. Even simple arrangements like airport transfers and tours turned out to be unnecessarily clunky. We had to ask repeatedly, information arrived late or was unclear, and overall it felt like no one cared about the guests’ concerns. The most disheartening part was how the hotel handled our cancellation: despite understandable circumstances, the hotel was inflexible and not customer‑friendly. For a property of this class and part of an international chain, we expected far better communication, organization, and willingness to accommodate. We cannot recommend it.

The location right by the Martapura River is great for walking around town. The room facing the pool was very nice. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We also enjoyed the early‑morning boat trip to the Floating Market, which the hotel offered. The pool is tiny for swimming. There’s no city map and very little information about sights and tours.
