“Perfect B & B in Orvieto. You feel like a resident, not a guest!”
I love this place. It’s in the town center: location 10+. We are two married couples staying in Orvieto for two nights. We needed a centrally located tourist‑class hotel for the activities we had planned. Our friends, who had never been to Italy before, said this place was perfect and exactly what they expected from a B&B in Italy. The location is ideal, right in the center and about 50 meters from the piazza where the Duomo sits. A very good Italian breakfast is served each morning in a bar on the street level below the B&B. The rooms are up one long flight of stairs without an elevator. They’re clean, inexpensive, and face the main pedestrian walkway of Orvieto so you feel like you’re part of the city. The staff waited for us at street level when we arrived and helped us carry our large suitcases up to the rooms. It’s one of those places where the staff not only checks you in but provides extra towels and serves you breakfast, and by the end of a two‑day visit it feels like family. One thing that struck me: I booked two rooms for two nights. Each room was listed as the same price and described as identical on the app. When we arrived, one room was a regular bedroom with a shower, and the other was a bedroom with an attached bathroom, a small living room, and a full kitchen overlooking the street—a much nicer room for the same price. So it’s not a complaint, but if I had stayed in the smaller room I might have felt I wasn’t getting my money’s worth. If I were staying in Orvieto for an extended period or with a large family, I might choose somewhere else, but if I were traveling as a couple or needed a few rooms for a couple of nights, I’d book this place again without hesitation.
