“Walking distance to both Canal d'Amour and Apotripiti Beach, still in a quiet side street”

The hotel is within walking distance of both Canal d’Amour (Kanali tou Erota) and Apotripiti Beach, and it’s also close to Sidari yet on a quieter side street. We were given two rooms next to each other, which was convenient. The bathroom in our room was damp and had a strong odor, and the windows and balcony door were old wooden double‑glazing that didn’t block outside noise well. We didn’t ask for a different room because all nearby rooms were taken and we wanted to be close to our children’s room.

The rooms were spotless and the staff were welcoming, and the spot in the city was great—just a short walk to bars, but the hotel itself was only 100 yards away, keeping the noise down. On the downside, there was no shower curtain, so the bathroom floor got soaked, the shower took forever to heat up, and there was no shower gel in the room.

The pool and the bar by the pool were great, and the bartender was friendly. However, there was a sewage smell in the room and some unidentified insects bit me all over my body at night.

The pool, pool bar, and George the barman were always friendly. The room was too basic and the bathroom was very poor, with a tiny shower base and no curtain so water soaked everywhere. Air conditioning only in the bedroom pointed to the ceiling and took ages to work. The socket for the hair dryer or tongs was behind the wardrobe, so I had to keep pulling it out. It felt like it hadn’t been updated in 20 years. I booked a sea‑view room but no rooms actually have a sea view.
