Located in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood, The Maritime Hotel offers nautical-themed rooms with free WiFi, porthole windows, and dark wood furnishings. Each room features a minibar, iPod docking station, and marble bathroom with rain shower head and bathrobe. The hotel is adjacent to 9th Avenue subway stations and within 650 m of the Rubin Museum of Art and High Line Park.

The location is excellent, the staff are welcoming, and the room is large and special. Breakfast was mediocre—no effort was made to warm the pastries—and the bathroom layout prevented the toilet from being raised upward.

The location is excellent, the staff friendly and welcoming, and the hotel clean. It has everything you need, including a great continental breakfast and a gym. It’s close to the Hudson, the High Line, and a short walk to the West Village, with a subway station nearby. It can be a bit noisy at night with city sounds, but once I used the ear plugs provided by the hotel, the difference was huge.

The spot is great and it has a lot of charm, but the room feels a bit cramped and there’s no real social area like a proper bar.

The place is in a perfect spot, the lobby feels welcoming and lets you eat and mingle with other guests, yet the restaurant was closed during my visit.

The rooms were tidy and the Wi‑Fi was fast, the location was convenient and the front desk was helpful, but the rooms were small, the breakfast was mediocre, the food served was cold, and the selection was limited.
