Located on the outskirts of historic Teruel, the Parador de Teruel is a stunning mansion inspired by the Mudejar style, blending cultures and architectural lines in its construction. The hotel features spacious rooms with marbles, tiling, ogive arches, and arabesque details in pastel tones.

Our room was roomy and stylish, featuring a small canopy over the bed, and the bathroom was also generous with all the essentials. Breakfast was extensive, though hot items had to be ordered separately. Parking was plentiful and free, although it usually fills up after 8 p.m. The décor of the Paradores is classic and somewhat dated, and while the staff are friendly they rarely go above and beyond. Dining service moved a bit slowly, and guests should note that the Parador sits a few kilometres from Teruel.

The setting of the hotel is gorgeous, with autumn light filtering through the trees. The Parador itself is pretty. We visited on the October bridge and it was cold; honestly, given the reputation and the price we paid for a night, there was no heating. They kindly offered a portable heater because we were traveling with a baby, but it made noise louder than an elephant in a junkyard. A real shame.

The rooms and service were excellent.

Cleanliness, parking, friendly staff, good room size, and a nice surrounding. The room temperature was an issue—the air was only cold, so the next day we had to request a portable heater. Breakfast lacked hot dishes such as migas, any type of eggs, even hard‑boiled ones, which had to be ordered and were not readily available. Fruit was not replenished in the expected quantity, and the bathroom had no amenities.
