We basically just slept and got dressed there because I was staying for my niece’s wedding at Nicol of Skene.

The location was great, but the air‑con was broken and had been making a loud whining noise for a long time, so I couldn’t use it; fortunately a fan was in the room. Loud music from a conference area below kept playing until one in the morning on Saturday, and while it wasn’t as loud on Friday night, the noise still disrupted the quiet needed at night, so this isn’t a hotel for those who need peace. I’m not usually a complainer, but it was annoying enough to keep me awake.

The room was nice and comfy, just a bed for the night because we’d have to pay extra to bring our bags into the room. The check‑in time could use more flexibility; charging by the hour feels greedy and excessive. We were heading to a wedding and only wanted to drop our bags so we could get to bed quickly when we came back early the next morning.
