I stayed in a snug, spotless room with fresh sheets and a balcony, and it was close to the city center, but there was no heat and the hot water never came on.

The room was new and clean, the internet was good, and the place was quiet; a few shops and restaurants were within a 5‑minute walk, and the busy parts of Ubud were a 20‑minute walk away.
