It isn’t as bad as the reviews suggest, though it’s not outstanding and there are things that could have been cleaner. I’ve stayed at other hostels with better ratings. The kitchen gear is great and everything there is spotless. The Common Area feels very cozy and you can really relax. The rooms are nice, each with a passcode, which I liked a lot! I enjoyed my two nights there (off‑season). The corners were the issue—everything could have been kept a little cleaner. Sure, a lot of things are old, but which hostel in Australia doesn’t have that, yet still demands outrageous prices?
