The location is decent—old, historic, charming, and lively for people. Right next to a beautiful church and square, it’s easy by car to reach other towns, the sea, and the mountains. The historic, charming spot offers a stunning view, wonderful local people, tasty food… The hosts are friendly and welcoming, as is the surrounding community, ready to help with any question. The host is a lovely meticulous woman who greets you with a smile, has the apartment, terrace, and all the amenities arranged to your detail for a pleasant stay. The accommodation might not be suitable for a family with a child under 3 because it’s on a higher floor and harder to access, and breakfast isn’t the usual daily served one; instead, you’re greeted in the apartment with some groceries (jam, cake, a little milk, biscuits, coffee, etc.) and you have to prepare it yourself each day. I think that’s typical Italian style (no criticism) where service or extra effort is either charged or not expected. Still, the coffee was great once you learn how to use the small pot, and breakfast on the lovely terrace with a view, shade, intimacy, view, and the chirping of countless larches was wonderful.
“Un pezzetto di Paradiso!!”
The place is fantastic, a village on a hill a few kilometers from the sea with the Gran Sasso chain behind it, all in a very relaxing environment. Mrs. Raffaella with her daughter Valentina, a wonderful woman—sweet and affable—rarely have I encountered such hospitality. Moving on to the loft room and the bathroom in the little tower, I found it beautiful in a warm setting where nothing truly lacks. I promised myself I’d return to find this magical place again, and for the fantastic “rare” people who run it. PARTIRE…It was truly sad.
A studio in the center of the ancient village of Montone with a fabulous view of the Adriatic coast, very clean and equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay.
“Pleasant experience.”
The view was amazing, but the staircase is a bit narrow.
The terrace is nice for breakfast, but reaching the room via the very uncomfortable spiral staircase, the bed on a claustrophobic loft, and we had to open a sofa bed in the entrance.
