The reef is opposite the hotel. The hotel feels outdated, nothing is being updated, the breakfast is sparse, everything is being cut back, another hotel is being built nearby, and it was noisy.
“Top Lage, Top Hotel Strand, gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis, Essen mässig”
The hotel sits right on a beach with a stunning coral reef. Because of the “no alcohol” rule, there are almost no Russians or other partygoers, and everyone heads to Bikini Beach, so the hotel beach is basically exclusive. The transfer from the airport by boat was smooth. Security is not quite European standard. The weather is perfect. The air‑conditioning cooled well, but the thermostat was broken. Friendly Italian guests. Dinner right on the beach was very romantic. The island people are very nice and interacting with them is interesting. The sunsets at Bikini Beach are breathtaking. The tour to Amenhai (Nurse) Shark Point was spectacular, and the trip to a secluded island was also lovely. The cleanliness was very poor. Towels had mold stains and were dirty even when freshly provided. The bed sheets had blood stains and looked years old. A light switch cover was missing in the room, posing a high risk of electric shock. The rooms were on the back side where there was a construction site—very ugly. The noise was tolerable. The hotel manager (Iman) was very unfriendly to the point of hostile, trying to sell us a fishing tour as a sunset cruise. When paying by credit card, a 6 % fee was added, which was not disclosed in the terms. The island has litter in many places. The tours offered by the hotel are heavily overpriced and safety is a serious concern. There are no life jackets or radios. The location is in the middle of the Indian Ocean with no alternatives. Dinner is okay but often not hot enough and very lightly seasoned; it’s better to eat at nearby restaurants, which are cheaper and better.
“Semplicemente natura”
The personnel, cleanliness, and food were all good, but the TV was broken and the distance from Bikini Beach was inconvenient.
The home‑grown reef opposite the hotel is the only thing I liked. It’s far from Bikini Beach, the staff barely speak English, there’s construction nearby and the noise lasts all day, the breakfasts are very sparse, there was not even a Maldivian option, but they did cook buckwheat. I would never return.
“Bien pour snorkilling”
The welcome, the staff, the location, and the buffet were all great, but the fact that we were asked to change rooms on the second day, even though the mistake was the hotel’s, was frustrating.
