The house is beautiful, spacious and has a fascinating history – my room was light and airy, and the bathroom was equally huge. Breakfast was lovely, and Christian himself was a delight, giving me a guided tour, helping with my bags and even doing a bit of singing. It’s excellent for cyclists… there’s a bike rack in the hall, and it’s minutes from the voie verte. The Wi‑Fi was a bit temperamental, but the property has good 5G reception.

Christian gave a very warm welcome in a master’s house right in the city centre of Mazame. He accepted our bikes perfectly and was encouraging for the rest of our trip on the Veloccitanie.
