We booked Guesthouse Old House last minute while on the Mestia‑Ushguli trek and it totally met our needs. The guesthouse sits in a unique, historic stone building surrounded by stone towers. The beds were comfy and we got a great night’s sleep after exploring Ushguli.

Lovely family, beautiful old building. Warm room and shower. I’ve been traveling solo and I had a cold, i was given tea and also spontaneously invited to sit with a family friend for drinks and food

An unforgettable place, a 12th‑century stone house with its own defensive tower; the inn is run by a wonderfully friendly family, whom we greatly admire. We recommend it to anyone heading to Ushguli – you won’t regret it – and be sure to try the delicious on‑site breakfast. Because of the type of accommodation, several rooms share a common bathroom, but the atmosphere is great.
