“As expected, a bit like boot camp, in great location. Maybe we will go again, not sure though....”

I’ve stayed at this hotel before this year. It’s a rustic, somewhat rundown place, yet it’s in a great location. Unfortunately, this year the heating was completely off and they only gave us a tiny air heater that wouldn’t really warm the whole room. We were told about this beforehand, so we brought our own electric flat‑panel heater and had no trouble with the cold. The staff don’t speak English, which can be a bit difficult at times, but they are friendly. Overall, in winter this place isn’t suitable for everyone because it’s a bit shabby and rustic, but it’s very authentic compared to the flashy spots in Bansko.

I love the quiet of the forest, and this place delivers exactly that; the staff always asked if we needed anything or were feeling well, the room was warm, the restaurant downstairs had hot water and everything needed, and we felt at home and will definitely return. Thanks for your kindness.

After all that stench we saw around us, we didn’t go for breakfast, the location was nice… the courtyard and parking were absolutely necessary. The cleanliness was terrible: sheets, bathroom, curtains all smelled, the hot water was nonexistent, the room was completely cold.

The hotel has potential, it’s well‑located in the middle of the forest but close to the road and Bansko, which probably explains why the owners started modernising it. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms with new furniture; the room was the right size, the beds were comfortable, and from the balcony you could see the forest. We arrived in early October, very chilly, but the hosts kept the radiators on so the room stayed warm and comfortable. We stayed only one night, but we’d like to stay longer. Breakfast had a small misunderstanding; maybe it would have been better to skip it as the hosts suggested. The dining room was unheated and it was terribly cold. Although there were many routers and the host replied immediately to messages and gave us the passwords, we couldn’t connect to the internet or watch the TV channels digitally. Since it was only one night, it wasn’t a huge problem.

Nothing. Everything, especially cleanliness, the linens were used, the bathroom was in terrible condition, it was -4 at night, and they turned off the heater all night, there were spiders everywhere, the floor was dirty, the trash cans were filthy from previous guests with paper inside, and the glasses in the room also had beer from previous guests.
