We had a great stay in Swakopmund at Strand Hotel and really enjoyed it. A special shout‑out to the incredible Sandwich Harbour tour organized by Dune Waves Tour – it was unforgettable and definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

The staff were very helpful and professional. An employee even changed my flat tyre without me asking, which pleasantly surprised me. The breakfast was excellent, featuring local specialties. Nothing else was an issue; everything was good.

The place is probably the best spot to stay in Swakopmund, with a spacious modern room and a comfortable bathroom. The buffet breakfast is amazing, something you don’t see clearly in the pictures on the site. It’s located on a protected boardwalk along the beach that has some great restaurants, so you can avoid walking into town if you prefer. One small downside is that a few rooms are a long walk away from the elevator.
