The location is spectacular, with mountain views and a very peaceful atmosphere, and Fiona, who looked after us, was extremely kind and helpful. However, the place wasn’t clean and lacked proper maintenance. The shower water pressure wasn’t enough for a basic shower, the sink was leaking, and there was a mark that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Overall cleanliness was lacking, although the bed sheets were clean. For a $30/night place, it might be acceptable, but not for a $125 spot.

The location is perfect, just 7 minutes from the Gorilla trip meeting place, and the accommodation offers great views in a relaxed atmosphere. The food, although basic, was fresh, home‑cooked, and one of the best meals of our whole trip. I took guests on this trip as did the gorillas myself last year, and I would use it again.

“If you need clean, comfortable, value accomodation for the gorillas this ticks the box”

I recently stayed at a hotel that exceeded my expectations in terms of location, as it was ideally positioned for my gorilla trekking adventure. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to assist me during my stay. While the accommodations themselves were somewhat simple, they provided everything I required and offered excellent value for the price. Overall, I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience.
