The place was perfect – great spot, walk to main street and beach, lovely grounds, comfy rooms, superb breakfast buffet, happy hour and cookies at front desk in evening, and they were very accommodating to my 4‑legged baby. The only downside was that if the neighboring room had loud kids, you could hear them – not the hotel’s fault, just how it goes.

I got an amazing value and experience here. The vibe and design were charming, my room was stylish with all the amenities you’d expect, breakfast blew me away – only matched by some 5‑star European stays. It’s about 3 blocks from the beach and a few blocks from downtown Carmel, unassuming yet quiet and elegant, feels historic but not dated. The staff were great. I’ll definitely return.

The staff was great and accommodating, breakfast was excellent, the location was amazing, the grounds were really nice, and the saltwater pool was comfortable, though it was a bit pricey for the experience.

The breakfast was great, and the hotel’s location was convenient because it’s within walking distance of downtown Carmel. However, there were almost no amenities, and at a nightly price of $1,000+ I expected more.
