“Un bel B&B tattico per godersi Udine”

The staff were really great, giving me useful information and the blankets kept me warm; the breakfast was abundant and I couldn’t decide what to pick, especially the moka coffee was a real bonus. The bathroom was spacious, the hair dryer worked well—most hotel dryers are underpowered—and the bed was extremely soft and warm, though a bit small. I was disappointed that there were no disposable slippers in the room, no shelves near the sink to store toiletries or a good number of hooks for clothes, and because the bathroom is a separate room I had to bring my change and towels with me, which was not very automatic. The water was hot and the pressure good, but the shower head didn’t adjust (it seemed like there was a knob to turn but I couldn’t rotate it to get the spray I wanted, and I feared breaking the hot water tap because it was so sturdy). Not all soap dispensers worked even though they had soap inside. Instead of a toothbrush, I would have preferred shower gel and the little bottles. The bed was small but comfortable. The thermostat in the room read 19°C, but it felt cooler than I’d liked, whereas the bathroom thermostat also read 19°C and the water was pleasantly warm. The furniture was very clean, though clearly heavily used.

“Перша зустріч з Італією була вдалою”

The location is fantastic, the host is friendly and knowledgeable about local policy, the breakfasts are flawless and tasty—especially the apricot jam—and the host gives detailed information about city events and good recommendations (the restaurant Cio Che C'era Udine with tasty Verduzzo wine and Weihenstephan Weissen beer). The rain slightly disrupted plans.

The place is adequate, the location is quiet, the landlord is friendly and helps with luggage, but I had trouble going up the stairs.
