The amenities were good – soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc. The location was convenient, close to shops and restaurants. However, there was no lift to carry luggage up the stairs, which is a problem for older guests. The stairs inside the apartment were a bit steep and narrow for them. I didn’t like the “smell” in the onsen and shower area. Check‑in took place at a different hotel, not too far away, but we should have been informed earlier.

The resort is very large, spacious and comfortable. Everything was well equipped – a good kitchen, a large bath area, a spacious balcony with a nice view. It’s close to the main shopping street. The only downside is that it’s a little far from Yufuin train station.

There is no elevator in the building, so you have to be ready to haul your bulky and heavy luggage up the stairs. The unit we stayed in is double‑storey, with the bedroom on the upper floor, which isn’t suitable for older people who have to climb stairs. The upper floor only has a toilet bowl, no wash basin, no mirror, and definitely no bathing facilities. The main bathroom and toilet are on the lower floor. Communication from the hotel is absolutely absent after check‑in. I noticed someone entering my apartment on the second day of our stay. The TV was on when we returned, even though we didn’t use it on the first day. I wrote to the hotel asking for an answer, but received no reply – total silence. Imagine if something were stolen or a hidden camera was installed while we were away. I asked for more coffee in my room and again got no response. This is not the type of Japanese hospitality I expected. Shame on all of Japan.

The space is roomy and comfortable, the equipment is high‑quality, and it’s close to the sights. There is no elevator, so the hotel should provide a map. When I came from Kuju, Google directed me to a lively street, and I almost got stuck and couldn’t move.
