I rarely post negative reviews, but I feel guests deserve a straight‑talk about my stay at Ginger Hotel, Bharuch. I can’t understand how this place still bills itself as a four‑star hotel. The accommodation, cleanliness, maintenance, and overall experience are far below what any sensible traveler would expect. From the moment I arrived, the pictures online did not match reality. The photos promise a modern, well‑maintained hotel, but the entrance is dull and uninviting, the lighting is poor, the elevators are tiny, and the whole place looks like it’s been neglected for years. The disappointment grew when I entered the room. It was cramped, poorly designed, and below acceptable standards. The bathroom was especially concerning: there was visible grime and dirt in the shower cubicle, and overall cleanliness was unacceptable. I wondered if I would leave the shower cleaner than when I entered. Basic toiletries were missing or insufficient, and even essential items like toilet paper were not properly stocked—fundamental hospitality standards that every hotel, regardless of rating, should meet. The bed was the same: the mattress was worn out and offered little comfort or support, and the linens and pillowcases were old, tired, and clearly overdue for replacement. The room overall gave the impression that cleanliness and maintenance were not priorities.
