The hotel is close to the city and the service is excellent.
The breakfast was the best I’ve had in all of Sri Lanka, but having fewer staff makes the overall process slow and inconvenient for guests.
The hotel was great, with a spa‑like atmosphere. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The beachfront location was perfect. The “pick me” app for hiring tuk‑tuks, cars, and bikes didn’t work well on this road; I had to walk to the nearest side street and the street behind the hotel to be picked up because of the tuk‑tuk cartel. This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but it was a bit inconvenient. It was also hard to order a car to take us to the next location. If you have cash to hire a driver on the street, this won’t affect you.

The rooms are spacious, modern, and incredibly clean, and the staff are all friendly and make you feel very welcome. The property sits right across from the bay, so it’s super easy to go out and enjoy the surf. The pool is brilliant with plenty of sun loungers.

The hotel felt like a hidden gem in the middle of an exotic forest, spacious with warm and kind staff. The location was unbeatable—so many restaurants nearby and the surfing camps just in front, meaning less than 2 minutes walk to the beach. Plenty of tuktuks right in front, so it didn’t take long to find one. Even though we arrived before check‑in, the room was ready. The staff always fulfilled our requests promptly and were helpful whenever needed. The room was quite large and had everything you need for a week: fridge, towels, amenities, and a hairdryer on request. I was disappointed that the hotel didn’t inform us about the ongoing issues with local tuktuks, especially since we were tourists. The breakfast offered a great selection of three sets with choice of meal, fresh juice, and fresh fruit, plus fresh bread and butter on the side, but the portions were a bit small even after I added extra sausages to my set. I also received a spam email from Booking about this stay, so be careful.
