Hajnulka and Janos are wonderful hosts—friendly and welcoming. Hajnulka’s décor is charming and colorful, everything was very clean and my bed was super comfortable. The surroundings are extremely quiet—you can sleep with the window open, just be aware the church bells ring around 6 a.m. I recommend dinner at Mi a Kő in nearby Köveskál; it’s amazing yet still affordable, and you can walk the 3.3 km through the vineyards. I regret not staying longer. A quick note: if you’re using public transport or hiking and plan to eat out, check in advance that the restaurants are open.

The kitchen and garden barbecue area were very well equipped, the tubs were big, and the owners were extremely friendly. We could have used more toilet paper for a group this size, and we were surprised to find a surveillance camera on the courtyard – we didn’t know about it beforehand and found it a bit odd.

Everything was great. The owner, Hajnalka, even promised to bring us pizza from Tapolca that was still warm when we received it. We’re very grateful for that! There were no negatives.
