The location was great and there’s a market right across the boulevard, plus ubers are always nearby. The hygiene left a lot to be desired—when someone from the opposite room showered, the bathtub filled as if the pipes were connected, and I had to bolt out of the tub. The staff were very friendly, but given what you pay for, you can’t demand more; I’d stay again for the location.

The pictures matched reality, so I knew exactly what I was getting and just needed a place to sleep between work shifts. The TV, fridge, microwave, comfy bed, heater, and AC were all there. Parking was only for the motel, which felt a bit shady but not a huge safety issue (most people might be scared). The ceiling mirror was odd but amusing. The water never warmed past freezing; I arrived at 2 am and needed a shower, but the water was icy. I was charged an extra fee for early check‑in, which is fine for a luxury hotel, but I just needed to park and didn’t want to check in in the middle of the next morning, so I paid $30 to park my car.

The room was very comfortable and clean, with TV and adjustable air conditioning. The ceiling mirror added an interesting touch. The staff were very accommodating, offering amenities, taking pictures, and giving general guidance. I love how close it is to everything in Long Beach; if I ever return to California, this is where I’ll stay. The bathroom toilet could use an upgrade, and the toiletries had an unpleasant smell.

The staff were great and helpful at any time of day or night—easy to work with. The room was clean and you can see they’re trying to restore and upgrade the old property. Parking is right outside your door, convenient and easy to find. The property sits directly off a highway, so every semi passing—roughly every 5 seconds—can be heard and felt. That’s not their fault, and you get used to it after a few days. The beds and bedding could use an upgrade; the mattresses are uncomfortable and the bedding had burn holes from past guests.
