The TV in the room, the quiet setting, daily cleaning, and beach loungers were positives. The food was bad, drinks were expensive (not a real happy hour), the pool was dirty (people entered with their clothes inside, children urinated in it), and there were cockroaches in the room.

It’s almost right over the sea, wonderful to hear the waves and nearby birds. The staff were very kind, breakfast tasty, drinks tasty. The pool was pleasant. There was a TV but we didn’t use it. Wi‑Fi was impeccable. The bed was a double but with a split base. It was hot, no air conditioning, but the fan saved the day. The bathroom curtain had mold at the bottom. One outlet was in bad shape but fixable. Mosquitoes were present, so bring repellent, but that’s unrelated to the hostel, haha. Behind the hostel the streets are dirt, in bad condition, muddy, dirty, smelly. This also doesn’t depend on the hostel.

I liked the room a lot and that it faces the sea. There isn’t a good value for money between what’s offered and the price. It’s expensive.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Ocean Hotel in Máncora! The location was perfect right by the ocean, the views were beautiful, the service excellent, the pool lovely and the bar wonderful. The welcome was warm and friendly, staff were available 24/7 and check‑in was flexible. We loved the rustic, cozy and homely atmosphere. Breakfast is included, and lunch and dinner are also available on site. A special thank you to Marlen for the warm welcome and incredible attention to detail. Everything was thoughtfully organized, and every little detail made our stay comfortable and special. Her hospitality truly made us feel at home. ❤️ Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Máncora! A couple of suggestions that could make the stay even better: the quality of the food could be improved, as we were not very satisfied with the dishes we tried, including the pizza. It would also be very useful to have a small kettle in the room, together with a couple of cups or glasses, especially for guests staying on the second floor. It would be a simple but very appreciated extra comfort.
