Gower Fresh Reindeer Lodge

A great experience in a small cabin right in nature; the nearby reindeer are amusing. The drive to the place isn’t easy because the signage isn’t optimal, which could be improved.

The lodge’s location is lovely, feels homely, and the reindeer were friendly; the bed was comfortable and we made good use of the outdoor sitting area. The hot tub was great and easy to use, and having an air fryer was a nice bonus. The only downside was the shower’s temperature being inconsistent—sometimes freezing, sometimes boiling, with no way to control it or adjust the water pressure. Also, while privacy was good elsewhere, the main front doors lacked curtains, which was annoying compared to the curtains/blinds on other windows.

“Perfect in every way.”

I surprised my husband for our 21st Wedding Anniversary with a child‑ and dog‑free break, and it was the perfect spot. The hut was just the right size for a couple staying two nights, very clean with a lovely bathroom, and the bed was very comfy. The hot tub was warm enough that we didn’t want to get out, and we watched the sunset with bats flying around us. The highlight was sitting with the reindeer and sipping our morning cuppa. I would definitely recommend staying here; it’s so peaceful amid beautiful Christmas trees and countryside. We didn’t book a longer stay, but we’ll come back next time. Also, we didn’t realize the orange bucket on the decking was reindeer food—we thought it was seaweed.

“Lovely place to stay”

A lovely little place that’s comfortable and unique. The bed was comfy, and we enjoyed seeing the reindeer in the field.

“Amazing”

I loved the property and the area is very remote and quiet; the reindeer were especially enjoyable. The only issue was the jacuzzi turning on and off again, though we still liked it. Sunbathing chairs would be helpful if it gets that hot.
