The room, pool area, and location were all great, but I was puzzled when the pool area shut down on 14th Sept; it was scorching outside and the usual practice of opening it that day seemed oddly restrictive. When I asked the staff, they said it was being “seen in Madrid.” The breakfast left something to be desired: plenty of options, yet the hot items like bacon were undercooked—almost rubbery—and the bacon ran out constantly. We asked for fried or poached eggs, but they said it wasn’t possible; an egg station would have fixed that shortcoming, and it’s the first hotel in years without one, which was a real let‑down at the start of the day.
