We adored the fantastic food, the accommodation, and the first‑class, professional staff! This place sets the benchmark for all other venues! Kudos to the leadership of this excellent team and every staff member who made us feel so cared for and welcomed!

Perfect tranquil location. Stayed in 2 different suites and both were fabulous, comfortable and definitely would return!. A more extensive evening menu would be a perfect addition, we found it to be too limited to eat there more than once!

The building is lovely and the setting beautiful. The dinner in the dining room, though pricey, was excellent. We had a nice room with a very comfortable bed. However, it was overpriced for what it offered. The bathroom, which only had a small shower and a toilet, was tiny—just enough for one person. The shower pressure was weak. On the first morning, my partner’s porridge was completely cold; she told an older lady (who we assumed was the manager) that it was cold and asked if it could be heated. The lady took it, remarked that the bowl was warm, and there was no apology. The porridge was returned a few minutes later, heated, but again no apology. On the second evening we had fish and chips outside, but the four of us returned to the hotel for drinks. I asked if we could have a cheeseboard to share (we’d had the cheeseboard for dessert the previous evening), and an older lady told us there were no cheeseboards available. There were still diners eating in the restaurant. The notion that the hotel had no cheese or biscuits in the kitchen seemed unlikely, to say the least.

Lovely hotel, with nice gardens to enjoy the sun and situated in a beautiful area! Stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe king room. Rooms where beautiful, clean, and excellent facilities. Perfect location for Gaping Gill and Malhom cove trails. Took a nice evening stroll around some of the village. Food was really nice, breakfast set me up well for the hike of the day. Staff were above and beyond, very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again!
