“Comfortable but inconsistent with brand”

The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful, and check‑in was easy and pleasant; the beds were comfortable and the indoor pool was well maintained. However, the restaurant closed two hours early on a Saturday night, and there were few external dining options nearby—something I can understand for a small bed‑and‑breakfast, but for a large chain hotel that inconsistency of service was quite annoying. We had traveled all day and were hoping for quiet room service, partly because that was listed in the booking information.

“Dirty room, poor housekeeping practices, and an overall lack of cleanliness made for a very disappointing stay”

The location was great for downtown. I booked the room for the weekend for over 400.00. Upon checking in I found the room was not cleaned correctly: pillow cases were not changed and there was dried blood on the mattress pad. Saturday morning I left my room expecting it would be cleaned while I was away, but when I returned it had not been serviced. I was expecting company, and they arrived to find the room unmade and untidy, which was both embarrassing and disappointing. Had I been informed at check‑in that housekeeping would not be provided, I could have made other arrangements or adjusted my expectations. Instead, the only service performed was replacing the towels and leaving a note. I understand that circumstances can affect housekeeping schedules, but clear communication is essential. This experience fell short of my expectations.
