“A home from home in historic Penrith”

Sue was a wonderful host, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and meet our needs. The bedroom and guesthouse were well appointed and homely, and the breakfast was scrumptious. Brooklands is a short walk from the town centre, so we’d highly recommend it. Our only regret was not spending more time in this lovely place. Faultless.

“Perfect for an overnight stay, didn’t stay long enough to visit surrounding area as on way back from Ireland.”

Very welcoming host – nothing too much trouble. Good advice on where to walk out for an evening meal; I loved the seasonal touches, the autumnal decoration and the beautiful orange fresh roses. Bathroom was quite small, probably a bit fussy, and there were too many cushions and pillows on the bed for my husband 🙄

“Fantastic b&b”

The host was fantastic, and the coffee machine in the room was a great touch. Clean and in a prime location. Parking outside the property wasn’t an issue. Nothing we didn’t like.
