“Best way to calm down after the hustle and bustle of the cities”
The property is beautifully located in the quiet village of Ukhum. The handmade food was served in the garden and more than enough each meal. The family running the guesthouse is more than welcoming and helped us with every request we had. Definitely would come here again and highly recommend staying at NUR Homestay! Thanks for the nice experience. Nothing negative.
“Expérience exceptionnelle à ne pas manquer !”
Super guesthouse right in the middle of the mountains in the village. The rooms are immaculate, the shower and toilets are brand new. The family is very welcoming, the kids speak English and are very nice. And the parents always smile and want everything to be perfect for their guests. The mother’s meals, besides being hearty, are the best we’ve had during our stay in Uzbekistan. There are great hikes in the mountains around the house. It’s clearly one of the best memories we have from our vacation. Thanks again to the whole family for their hospitality!
“Wspaniały nocleg”
The place was amazing! The hosts were quick, helpful, and very chatty. Rooms were clean and pretty. The area is quiet and picturesque, with plenty of mountain trails. The food was delicious and varied. We regret that we only stayed for one night. Warm regards to the owners!
We had a great stay at the Nur‑Guesthouse. The host family is very warm and attentive. From the terrace you get a wonderful view of the mountains and the family’s son was our hiking guide. The meals were lovingly prepared and a family member always joined us. We learned a lot about the land and people there and can recommend the guesthouse from the heart!
“Magnifique séjour chez une famille dans les montagnes ouzbek”
We spent two nights at Nur Homestay in August 2026 and were particularly satisfied with our choice! The family has a real sense of hospitality and sharing. This stay was a delightful pause between the different cities on our itinerary: the house and the village form a true haven of peace and let us discover the rhythm of life of a rural Uzbek family, in a particularly welcoming village. The view of the little valley and the mountains from the house is superb. We also enjoyed a magnificent hiking program in the green valley of the village and the surrounding mountains, all accessible on foot directly from the house’s garden. We were accompanied each time by one of the sons of the family. The three hikes we did were never monotonous and were an opportunity for very beautiful discoveries and encounters: village residents, little children offering us spontaneous apples or sweets, animals… We even had the chance to witness a mouflon fight! The cuisine was very good and especially very balanced, which allowed us to discover different local specialties beyond the traditional plov that is found everywhere else. Everything is homemade: even the bread is prepared by the mother in their own bread oven. Many fruits and vegetables come from the village or the surroundings. We were also invited by the family to help prepare one of the local specialties. Moreover, car transfers to and from Bukhara and Samarkand were very easy to arrange. Even though we stayed in the middle of August, the heat was largely bearable, especially thanks to the surrounding vegetation.
