Chalok Chill Hostel Koh Tao

The hostel rooms are nice and new, and you really get what you pay for—no complaints from my side. It’s handy that there’s a restaurant right in front serving good food, which makes it simple when you’re too lazy to head out for breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the space was reasonably comfortable. I’m sorry to leave this comment, knowing it isn’t the establishment’s fault, but despite the staff’s effort to keep the areas clean, the guests who stay there are disrespectful and show no consideration for the workers who clean the common zones, nor do they respect their room‑mates.

The location is great, close to many restaurants and plenty of activities, and the staff are super friendly and nice.

“Ist das Geld nicht wert”

The location is a bit quieter, but everything you need is nearby and the beautiful beaches are within walking distance. 7‑Eleven is right next door and there’s a great sandwich shop nearby! The receptionist, Herr, was very friendly. But it’s quite far from the harbor/center. The bathrooms were really disgusting, as if they had never been cleaned. Showering there was a nightmare; I’ve seen many hostels, but this one was just awful. Lockers are only in the hallway, not in the rooms. For the price it’s truly outrageous.

There are curtains and plugs by the bed, outside seating, free drinking water (when it was refilled), AC rooms, and it’s located by a lovely beach with great beach bars. The showers had a terrible sulphur smell, and there were many beds in a room with very little floor or storage space.
