“Poteva andare peggio”

The location made quick trips for sightseeing easy; the bed’s mattress was a bit too soft for me but still fairly comfortable; the included breakfast was very pleasant. The lack of a notification that the elevator was broken was annoying—having to walk five floors on vacation isn’t fun. Since it’s an apartment with a kitchen, I expected at least a dishcloth, a sponge, and dish soap to handle utensils and dishes without piling up dirty items (I couldn’t even wash the travel lunch box).

The complex is locked, forcing you to wait on an unsafe street until someone lets you in; no one greets you. The only way to reach someone is by phone, which is hard if you lack signal. The building advertises an elevator, but it wasn’t working and the room is on the 5th floor. The hostess met me at the bottom and gave directions to the room but didn’t show the way. The key was difficult to use, taking about 15 minutes to open. The advertised airport shuttle was not available.

Alessia, the girl who was there during breakfast, was extremely friendly and kind. The breakfast was WONDERSOME. The host was very courteous.

The large apartment has a kitchen, a living room, and a gallery‑style sleeping area. It’s easily accessible, and major sights are within walking distance. Nearby are metro and bus stops. The breakfast is plentiful and varied. The kitchen’s low equipment level is a drawback: there were few pots, no mug, a gas stove but no matches or lighter, no kettle, no microwave, and no trash bin.
