The place was pleasant and had genuine German hospitality; the host couple were very friendly and the food was excellent.

The operator couple were immediately very likable, making me feel welcome and well taken care of; the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the whole house looked cozy and was located beside a babbling brook. The food was tasty, well portioned, and reasonably priced. Overall, I can recommend the house wholeheartedly. I had already stayed there six times before, but this time with a new operator, and I would not have chosen it if I had major complaints.
The hotel and village felt authentic, with rooms styled to match; the dark furnishings are something you have to love.
