The hospitality of the B&B owners was sublime. They were unbelievably kind and very helpful. The homemade breakfast was delicious, the dishes were beautiful and came from Shannonbridge (very local). I also rarely slept in a better bed than during this stay. I didn't mind much that there was not more space for a chat about the region and the people of Clonmacnoise and Shannonbridge.

I had a wonderful evening at Colmacnoise B&B. Joe was a warm and welcoming host. The drive and surroundings were beautiful, adding to a lovely time. Breakfast was delicious. I should have checked in before making a round trip to Athlone.
