Peixe Crew Manguinhos

The location is good, near the gastronomic center of Manguinhos (port), about a 5‑minute walk along the beach. Breakfast is simple but very good; on the days I stayed, there was always freshly baked cake and delicious natural juice. The staff are very friendly, though we only saw the people who served us at breakfast. Since there’s no reception, we didn’t meet the owner. The mold/mud smell was strong when we arrived, even with the fan on, which bothered me a bit because of my cough. The bathroom lacks privacy—the wooden window has several openings and people in the corridor can see inside. We had to hang a towel on the window to get privacy.

“Bom custo benefício. Atente ao quarto que vc vai ficar”

Breakfast was tasty and the place is right next to Manguinhos and Porto da Barra beaches. But the Wi‑Fi in the container house, especially on the mezzanine bed, was spotty. In the main building, the bathroom had a “window” that let you see the hallway, and we even ran out of power a few times—nothing to do with the city’s electricity.

“Mala relación precio calidad”

The vibe was calm and relaxed, which was nice. Unfortunately, the infrastructure was in bad shape, the room was worn out, and it smelled bad.

The location was definitely great and there was a huge parking lot. Breakfast was also pretty good. However, our room faced the garden and was swarmed with mosquitoes; we even saw a flying cockroach. The bathroom rug in front of the shower was soaked and covered in sand. The place was simple, but the dirt and bugs were a deal‑breaker. We were offered a better room, but it was still infested and we got bitten. For almost 400 reais, the conditions could have been much better.
