The property is beautifully restored. The walls are paper‑thin, so you can hear everyone talking in the hallway and in the rooms next door. The cleaner was vacuuming outside our room door in the hallway at 7:30 am, which was very loud and woke us up. This was not great considering the cost of the accommodation.

The gardens were absolutely exquisite!! We were so thrilled to see the best of the spring gardens. The rooms were lovely, but there was not enough storage for clothes—only an open clothes rack. We were staying 5 days and 4 nights.

The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, the food and service excellent, and the staff very helpful. The long walk to our rooms and the stairs were a problem because of our personal walking liabilities, but the staff were helpful and we had family to assist.
