The staff were very friendly and the location was ideal. The room itself was lovely. Unfortunately I had to leave early, which made me sad.

The settee in the bedroom was a lovely touch, and the room was spacious and comfortable. All the extras were nice. The shower was hard to regulate from hot to cool; it stayed scalding and I struggled to get it to a comfortable temperature. If you’re paying for three adults, it might be nice to have three of each toiletry item.

The spot was great for walking to Iffley Locks and down the river to Oxford town centre, and it was peaceful and quiet. At 22:05 we were told to leave the bar abruptly. When we asked for coffee, the machine behind the bar was off, so we only had instant coffee during our stay. We asked for extra butter with breakfast and were offered jam instead. Breakfast choices were limited, clearly halal, and we weren’t told about that before arriving. Portions were small and meagre.
