“Not the holiday stay we had hoped for. Personnel were not to blame but management need changing”

Breakfast was good, but the hotel, restaurant, rooms, and reception area interior were very plain, 1990s basic, nowhere near as good as described and definitely not “gastronomique.” Dinner was OK but nothing to remember. The hotel rooms were only reachable by a lift and emergency stairs from short, plain corridors. Very few guests. If the description/photos had shown the reality, we would not have booked this hotel. Answered above.

The dinner was excellent, hearty and refined; the room was spacious with comfortable bedding. The breakfast did not reach a 4‑star level, there was no fresh juice, and eggs and bacon were not on the buffet. The room was dusty.

The location is great and the reception was nice! A charming street with cafés and shops like a bakery. The restaurant could have been a bit more French.

It’s a family run place, the owners are always on site, Madame is in charge of the hotel and her husband runs the kitchen. The staff are exceptionally friendly, especially the owner who is very nice and helpful with recommendations. The menu at the restaurant could offer more variety, otherwise everything is very tasty.
